For absolute beginners and those with just a few words of Portuguese.

Immerse yourself in a Portuguese speaking residency for a full four days! Alongside formal lessons, activities will include working together on the quinta, cooking together, leisure time by the river, and some local sightseeing – all designed to give you the most useful everyday vocabulary whether you are moving to or already living in Portugal!
During the Portuguese Language Residency we use a teaching methodology that allows students to hear and speak throughout the entire day. This is a very effective way to improve the learning-teaching process.
The student starts speaking Portuguese from the first minute, using the Portuguese language as the main means of communication and applying it during the majority of the residency.
The student shouldn’t be worried about not understanding the full conversation initially because the learning process is designed to flow the way you learned your mother tongue, naturally and gradually.
THIS IS A “JUST LANDED” BEGINNER LEVEL COURSE
You will learn to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. You will learn to introduce yourself and others and ask and answer questions about personal details such as where you live, people you know, and things you have. You will learn to interact is a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
No prior knowledge of Portuguese is required for this course.
FOOD:
Food is included in the price and can be vegetarian, vegan or include meat, depending on the preferences of students. Lunch at a local restaurant / market is included in the price.
COST:
350 euros per person including camping, food, tuition, and visits.
Most courses have an EARLY BIRD price of 300 euros if the full course fee is paid in advance.
ACCOMMODATION:
Camping (bring your own tent etc) is included in the price.
Twin / Double room with en-suite shower room: 160 euros (20 euros per person per night)
Twin / Double room with shared shower room: 100 euros (15 euros per person per night)
Double room with shared shower room: 100 euros (15 euros per person per night)
Bell Tent (single, double or twin): 80 euros
Accommodation is allocated on first-come, first-served basis – so book early to reserve your preferred option!

Maximum 6 participants per course.
